About Boss (On Trial 30/6/14)
Boss is a 15 week old German Shepherd x Staffy puppy. He is great with our children, dogs, and cats. His favourite toy is a squeaky carrot which he takes everywhere. He doesn't fret when left alone, and is very happy to have his toys and wait for you to come home. He will greet you with a chat, wagging tail and big cuddle.
Boss is housetrained. We have had no accidents inside. He likes being in the house with us. Dogs get lonely spending too much time outside, so time indoors to relax with the family is something that must be continued in his forever home. He currently sleeps on an enclosed verandah, in a very cosy bed. If he is to sleep outside in his forever home he will need a good kennel, positioned near the house under a verandah, with bedding and a coat.
Boss loves to explore the yard. He comes when called and we're teaching him sit, stay, and walk with us. Like any puppy, he needs to chew so needs to be provided with plenty of raw bones and chew toys. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Boss "talks" in the cute way that some Staffies do. The only time he barks is when the cat has gotten out and he tries to round him up.
Boss is very playful, and wonderful with children. He can be a bit scared when he first meets new people but soon comes round to liking them. Boss's birthday is 28/2/14. He's a very cute little fellow that will grow into a handsome, medium sized dog.
Boss would be a great addition to your family. He has so much love to give and is willing to learn and just wants to be your best friend.
For more information or to meet Boss, please contact his foster carers Naomi and Darren on 0410482942 or Naomi.falkenberg@gmail.com. Boss is in foster care in Macksville, NSW (between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour) and is available for adoption interstate.
Boss's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
