Maverick

The words deeply gentle, loyal to a fault and bundles of love come to mind when describing Maverick.

While his upbringing may have been rough, he is proving to be very loveable to all creatures.

He has bonded very nicely with his foster Dane brother and is a new favourite playmate to any visiting dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Although he does get a little jealous of hugs and pats and needs to get amongst any that might be going.

He is one of the easiest dogs to train - only two weeks ago he didn't know the meaning of the word 'sit' or 'outside' or 'on your mat' but now he immediately actions the commands without issue.

He only goes to the toilet in the backyard and never tries to mark his territory anywhere else.

His ultimate goal in life is to make you happy and will do anything for the reward of a pat on the nose, chest or ears.

Maverick comes when called but tends not to stray far from your side when off lead. With a halti he is also good on the lead and doesn't pull.

He has had to learn that he is actually allowed to have some toys to play with (he was cautious of not hurting anything in any way at first) and now tug of war is lots of fun.

His foster parents can't get over what a precious animal he is with visiting guests and believes he would suit any loving home at all really.
