Shaka is on hold pending adoption.
Shaka is one handsome male German Shepherd currently in care at Kurri Kurri. This beautiful regal dog has been cast aside by his previous owner and I cannot for the life of me see why. Gentle, loving, social with his fellow rescue dogs and fully house trained this boy is crying out for a loving home.
Shaka named no doubt after the Zulu King Warrior must have been a stunning young dog and now he has reached the age of nine years his owners have discarded him. But still in good health and actually only weighing 28 kilos Shaka is not a large dog by all means.
Shaka loves his cuddles and so enjoyed his warm hydrobath he will make a wonderful companion dog for an older couple who would ensure he has inclusion in the family home and a gentle walk each day. He is obviously well trained and knows his basic commands.
This boy is in good health and being on the leaner side he has shown no obvious signs of arthritis.

Medical notes
Shaka comes desexed, vacinated C5, heartworm tested negative and wormed. He will be hydrobathed and groomed prior to going to his forever home. His Date of Birth is the 15.2.2005.
Shaka is located at Kurri Kurri near Newcastle.
Adoption details
We have an Adoption Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
