About Ray (On Trial 11/7/14)
Ray is a small, 1 year old, Maltese x JRT and is just too cute for words! He loves to play with his squeaky toys and tug toys. He loves cuddles and to sleep on your bed, but he is not a bed hog, he lays at the bottom.
Ray is an inside dog and needs free access indoors and to sleep inside. He is housetrained and comes to his name and walks nicely on a lead. He will need further training to learn the rest of the basics.
Ray is a lovely little man who loves company. He would suit a home with no small children. He loves other dogs his size. I'm not sure about cats as I don't have any. He is fine with my caged birds.
Ray has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every couple of months) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
He is a gentle little soul and will melt your heart when he looks at you with his soft brown eyes and happy smile. For more information or to meet Ray, please send an email to his foster carer Cindy at cinadmil@yahoo.com.au. Ray is in foster care near Cessnock, NSW (40 minutes west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Ray's adoption fee is only $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
