About Mac
My name is Mac and I am a 12 month old Bull Arab cross. I was picked up as a “stray” on Macleay Island and taken to the Redlands Pound. I was pulled from the pound on the 17th May 2014 and went straight into the care of my foster Mum and Dad. I was very nervous to start off with and I preferred to be near my foster Mum more than anyone else. I got to meet my whole foster family which consists of 2 other dogs, 3 cats, a chicken and 3 kids.
I have to say I love kids, they play with me and I play with them. I love running around and playing 'chase' with other dogs, however, I think I run a little to fast sometimes as they can't keep up with me.
I don't really care about the chicken much, I might have a little sniff but that's it.
When I first came to my foster home I didn't know what sit or wait was, but I am a very fast learner and within 3 days I was sitting and waiting for treats (which are the best) and my dinner.
I am house trained and wait to be let outside before doing any of my business. I love to cuddle with everyone and if I want a scratch, pat or cuddle I will make sure it is well known that I want one by tugging on a sleeve or resting my front feet and head on someone's lap.
Even though I am 12 months old I am still a puppy and puppies love to chew, however, if I am occupied or am given a chew toy I am very happy, especially if the toy has treats inside it.
I enjoy going for walks but my foster parents said I do need a bit more training on my lead as I do like to do my own thing while walking, but there is so many different smells and sights for me to explore and it is all very fascinating.
I am currently living in South East Queensland, however, I can be transported Australia Wide.
