About Emmy (Miss Emily)
Emily or Miss Emmy for short (or long) is a sweet little kitten who has really come out of her shell. She loves nothing better than to wrestle or play chasey with my older 9 year and old and allegedly more mature cat Gypsy. She has some cute little habits like wagging her tail when its food time which in her mind is anytime you open the fridge door. She also comes into my room very early in the morning to peer over the side of the bed at me to see if it might be close to food time. Quite often I open my eyes and she lets out a little keep of excitement. She is also quite partial to watching a bit of telly or sitting in a clothes basket of freshly washed clothes.
She is still quite timid with strangers but will accept pats after a little getting to know you time. Not so much of a lap cat but happy enough to be picked up for a cuddle and a purr (she purrs not me).
Here is the most amazing fact about Emmy…wait for it….She doesn’t scratch the furniture. I know its unbelievable right but my leather couches remain unscathed, the cat scratch post on the other hand has taken a beating.
Adoption details
After seeing an animal you are interested in we ask you to fill out an adoption expression of interest form which tells us a bit about you, your lifestyle and any previous pets. A meet and greet is then organised for you to meet your prospective new furry friend and if all goes ok, you are then able to adopt your new furry housemate.
