About Gidget *On Trial in Her New Home*

Rescued from Broken Hill pound Gidget is a friendly, energetic young dog who adores humans of all shapes and sizes and thrives on spending time with them. She’s good with children too having spent some time with 3 girls aged from 10 to 16 years. She’s currently in foster care with a male Rottweiler and 2 large breed puppies and she just loves to play especially when there are doggie toys involved. Or if no one wants to join in she’ll entertain herself by tossing and catching her own toys as you can see from her video!
Happy-girl Gidget is toilet-trained and quite well-behaved inside just wanting to hang out with you. At night she sleeps outside with the other dogs and she isn’t a yapper though will give a warning bark when necessary. She knows “sit” and “down” as she can get excited when she first sees you though quickly settles. She's great on a lead and Gidget loves food especially treats so this will help with any further training you’d like to do with her. She is a bit obsessive when it comes to cats so we wouldn’t take the risk by rehousing her with one.

We’re not 100% sure what breeds make up Gidget; our vets have guessed her as a Staffy cross and we keep referring to her as a “Broken Hill Special” though at 15kgs she’s a nice compact size.
Gidget would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion or on her own with a retiree or stay-at-home mum or someone who works from home as she’s used to having company. A good sized secure yard, daily walks, bones to chew on, toys to play with and lots of love would make Gidget very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
