About Wonderful Wilbur wishing for his forever home
My name is Wilbur (like Charlotte’s Web). Just like Charlotte saved Wilbur from the abattoir, I was saved from Blacktown pound by my foster family. I’m so happy I was. My foster parents said they knew from the moment they saw me in the pound I was one special cat. They say I’m a big furball of love - because I’m a big strong muscular boy. But don’t let my size fool you – my heart is just as big. My foster parents describe me as a smoochie sweetheart - because I love cuddles, I love when people pet me, I purr when I’m stroked and I love snuggling up next to you on the bed. I’ve got a very sweet temperament – you can pick me up, I’ll follow you around and am happiest when I am loved.
It’s not just humans I love getting cuddles from – I pretty much get along with everyone! I love other cats, and I love kids. I think I look very handsome in my photos, with my tabby markings on my pure white coat – and I’m even more handsome in person. But I’m not just a handsome face – I can be a bit of fun too! I love going for walks with my foster mommy on my harness. And while I love people and want to be around them, I’m happy to lounge in the sunshine and grab a siesta.
My foster parents are always saying I’m their favourite cat – but don't tell anyone that, it would my cat friends’ feelings. I think my foster mommy has a particular soft spot for me, because I follow her around everywhere. And while I love her just as much, I think that maybe I need to share the love and find a home of my own, so she can save another cat from the pound, just like she saved me. So I hope you can find a little room in your house and heart for me, just like the farmer did in Charlotte’s Web for an ordinary pig named Wilbur. If you take me home, I promise to love you, to follow you, and snuggle you and be the sweetest cat you can ever have.
Medical notes
Wilbur has no medical conditions that we know of. Because our cats are rescued from the pound or off the streets, we don’t know their entire background or complete medical history. All ages are an estimate only. All our cats come with all their vet work completed which includes desexing, microchipping, vaccinated and parasite treated.
Adoption details
At Brighter Future Cat Rescue, we rescue our cats off the street and would think nothing worse that they be placed back there and in danger of the perils of modern day society. We adopt to indoor homes only or homes with suitable cat runs. House-checks are a must and all our cats and kittens have meet and greets. A 2 week trial period is given to ensure that they are ideal for your situation and lifestyle.
