About Simba (On Trial 30/8/14)
Simba is a beautiful, male, 3yo Kelpie x German Shepherd. He is such a beautiful dog and I know he would be treasured and appreciated by a couple or active person or even a family with older children. Every person that meets Simba comments on how lovely he is and how good natured he is.
Simba is a very social and affectionate dog. He is not a barker or a digger. He doesn't bark out of boredom, but will bark at the gate at people walking their dogs or the postman. He is a nice, settled dog. He is very happy to sit under our feet on the veranda to be close to us.
Simba spends most of his day laying in the sun in the yard or looking out the gate to check what is happening in the street. He loves people and is very affectionate with my visitors. He doesn’t jump up on them, but will sit at their feet and put his paws up on their lap when they sit down, or nuzzle his head into them when they are standing.
Simba is a large dog, about the size of a German Shepherd.
Simba's owners are reluctantly seeking a new home for him as they have a young baby and another on the way and can't give him the time he needs. Even though Simba has always been friendly to children he isn't suitable to a home with children under 12 because he hasn't received much training yet. He is fine with other dogs just needs to be fed separately.
Simba is such a beautiful pet and I know that he would thrive in an active home, where he can receive training, affection and exercise.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
