Diesel has found his forever home.

Meet Diesel a young, playful and very loving male German Shepherd who has come from a registered breeder. Diesel is a special dog who has a condition where he must have an appropriate diet.

Diesel is 18 months old and is still in his family home, however his owners have made a decision that Diesel needs a better home with a family who can provide him what he needs as their lives are just too busy for this young dog.

This beautiful dog unfortunately was diagnosed at 10 months of age with a condition called EPI which is Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Diesel's system does not produce enzymes to break down his food. So to keep his system balanced he is required to have grain free dog kibble and tablets soaked in his food with each meal. The tablets are called Creon and can be purchased at a pharmacy and as long as he is provided with a stable diet and his Creon tablets he will be a healthy dog. I liken it to someone who has diabetes who must maintain a strict diet and have their required medication.

Diesel is a smoochey boy I think growing up with two little Maltese terriers who love him very much he has been loved and this reflects in his nature. This lovely dog would be ideal in a home where his owners understand he needs careful dietary maintenance and will also provide him with exercise and inclusion in the family home.

Diesel has never met cats and pockets pets so we cannot guarantee his reaction to both.
