About Fiji
Warm and Sunny, not Fiji the holiday destination, Fiji the dog!
Fiji is medium energy and loves to get out and about. She does need some more training in terms of not jumping up and appropriately meeting and greeting other dogs, but she loves to learn and please her people.
Fiji has grown out of her destructive stage and is very happy to play with her toys and chew on yummy bones while you are away at work. She copes well alone through the day. She is a good guard dog (she will bark if she hears or sees something strange) but not an excessive barker (she does not bark for no reason).
She is getting much better at coming inside and sitting on her special mat (with her toy elephant) for family time.
She does still want to chase the cats every so often.... When she does chase them she just wants to sit on them and lick them..... Quite cute really. But she soon forgets about them and will sleep on her mat for hours. She has not had an accident in the house..... So she is pretty well house trained.
She will sit and wait for her food and wait for the command to eat..... She can sit and is learning how to stay.
We can let her out in the lane off lead and she will come when called. She will need a bit more practice at this when out in the open because of the other distractions but she has the potential to get the hang of this real quick.
She does not need to be the only dog in the house (in fact she would love the company). Someone who is equally playful will be her best friend in no time!!!
She does not like bath time but will stand quietly while she has a bath and doesn't mind having her hair blow dried for extra volume and fullness!
She is very human friendly.... Loooooves her people and loves my 10 year old son.... She likes to nibble on your ears..... It is how she says she loves you!!!

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
