About Turbo (On Trial 30/8/14)
Turbo is a big goofy, 12 month old, Labrador x German Shepherd who loves his cuddles and thinks he's a lapdog. Turbo is great with other dogs, both big and small, and wants to be everyone's friend when out walking or at the park. Turbo used to live with a cat and he was well behaved with supervision (which is always advised with all pocket pets).
Turbo is fantastic with children, he plays well with them and knows to share toys. He would be best suited to a furever home with children older than about 4 years as he could accidentally knock little ones over due to his size and goofiness. He loves playing with toys and socialising so he would make a great best friend for active teenagers.
Turbo loves car rides and would love a furever family who will take him on outdoor adventures to parks and the beach. He is still learning to walk well on a lead as he is super excited so he will benefit from further lead training on his walks. He is very treat focused and clever so responds well to training. He knows how to Sit, Drop and Wait (for short periods, life's too exciting to sit still too long!).
Turbo will need to be allowed inside when his family are at home, as he craves human and canine companionship. He would suit a family which has a friendly dog of any size, an active couple or a home with older children where someone is home throughout the day. He loves exercise and interaction so he would not suit a home where he is left alone throughout the day.
Turbo will sleep inside or outside, but after a big day of doggy play he does prefer to snuggle on the floor of his foster family's bedroom. He really is Mr Sociable and just loves the companionship of being close to his humans.
To find out more about Turbo please contact his carer Karen on 0447 669 402. Turbo is located in Mannering Park on the NSW Central Coast and is available for adoption interstate.
Turbo's adoption fee is only $400 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
