About Henley *On Trial in His New Home*
*HENLEY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet Henley, he’s a super friendly pup who puts 110% enthusiasm into everything he does, from greetings at the door to playing with his toys! He’s looking for a loving forever home who will continue with his training so he grows up to have lovely manners; will it be with you?
Recently rescued from Broken Hill pound handsome Henley, who we named after a South Australian beach due to his gorgeous golden colour, has settled in well into foster care where his new buddies, a male Labrador and a female Terrier, are showing him the ropes.
From his foster carer:
Henley is a happy-go-lucky pup who loves to 'talk' to you when he hasn't seen you for a while – he makes a soft 'oooff oooff' sound! He loves to be around people and playing with our dogs. He enjoys playing tug-o-war and chasing a ball (unless something else takes his interest mid-game) as well as a good game of rough and tumble with other dogs. He gets along okay with cats (he shows a vague interest in them) unless they run, and then he thinks that is a fun game! He has a lot of energy and enthusiasm, so we’ve been teaching him the “down” command as he does tend to jump up a fair bit especially when he first meets you though he quietens down fairly quickly. It’s because of this that we wouldn’t recommend him to a home with young children – primary school age who are experienced with bigger dogs would be better. Henley likes to snooze quietly in his bed in the lounge room while you are watching tv – he is toilet trained and sleeps inside at night. \ He is very inquisitive, and likes to follow you around just to see what you are doing - he regards everything you do with a mix of interest and awe! Except when he is chewing on a bone - everything else gets ignored then! Henley sits very well on command with or without food, so we are now working on “stay”. \ He is very smart and seems to figure out things quite quickly especially when they benefit him.
Adorable Henley would love a home where he’s allowed inside and would benefit from a canine companion if you’re away for much of the day. Ongoing training as well as daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Henley very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
