About Maverick
Hi, I’m Maverick. My foster family call me Mav. I have to tell you that I absolutely adore my new life. I get to play with a ball and squeaky toys. When I first arrived at my foster home and saw the doggy toy box I could not believe my eyes. It was filled to the brim with toys and I took them out, one after the other. My tail is still a bit sore from wagging so much!
I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a boy who likes cuddles. I love nothing more than snuggling my head against your chest. We would be good for each other. Hugs will activate those endorphins which will make us both happy, calm and zen. What more could you ask for?
My doggy friends and I get along famously and we delight in running and playing together. I’m a bit unsure about how I would go around cats. I’ve heard a bit about those moggies but I’m yet to see one – perhaps they’re a myth like that big foot creature.
I understand when you are asking me to sit and lie down. I’ll even shake your hand if you ask nicely. I’m getting used to toilet training and walking on the lead. My foster mum is pretty cluey so we’ll have both those things sorted in no time.
I’m on the lookout for a special family I can call my own. I am an enthusiastic boy when playing, so it may be best if my new family is adult, or has older children. I love my daily walks and play, but what is most important to me is to have company for most of the day. If my humans are at work a doggy sibling would be the bees knees as I like to keep busy.
My heart is just bursting with love and I am excited at the prospect of meeting my new family. If you think we would be good for each other, please contact Victorian Dog Rescue. I can’t wait to meet you (insert tail wag here).
P.S. Just letting you know, if you’re willing to share your couch with me, that could be the deal breaker.
Medical notes
Maverick has a long term untreated skin condition. This is currently being addressed, otherwise a happy, healthy boy.
