About Ruby *On Trial in Her New Home*
*RUBY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet sweet Ruby, she’s looking for a forever home where she can love and be loved; will it be with you???
Ruby was given as a gift when she was 6 months old and unfortunately her owners live on acreage without fencing and can’t bear the thought of this beautiful dog living her life chained to a run which is what they’ve been having to do as their not-so-nice neighbours have sheep and have said they will shoot her if she ever ventures on to their property, so there’s no way they’re taking that risk, so they’ve made the decision to rehouse her and we’ve promised to find Ruby a fantastic fully-fenced home.
Beautiful Ruby is one of those great natured dogs who wiggle and waggle, almost turning themselves inside-out, as they’re just soooo happy to see you! You can tell Ruby has been well-looked after and loved; she really enjoys her daily walk and starts out strong on the lead though soon settles down to a comfortable pace. They have put time into her training so she knows “sit” and rarely jumps up on you unless asked or if you’ve stirred her up by running around playing silly games with her. Ruby loves food and takes treats ever so gently so this will help with any further training you might like to do with her. She adores people and likes to touch you or be right beside you either leaning on you or sitting very close - she just thrives on human companionship and will happily follow you around all day. This friendly, affectionate young girl is good with children though a home with school aged children would be best as she may accidentally bowl the little ones over when she’s extra happy.
Enjoy a quick video of Ruby (we were standing on straw as there were lots of prickles in the paddock and her owner didn’t want Ruby hurting her paws): http://youtu.be/C2vSuwW7EyU
Ruby is not a “yapper” though will give a warning bark when there’s a reason to making her a good watchdog. Being 18 months old she is over the worst of the “digging and chewing”. As she’s on a run she hasn’t spent much time inside though we reckon she’d be well behaved and would love to be allowed to, so she could be a part of the households going on. She hasn’t had a lot to do with other dogs as where she lives is a bit isolated though is quite submissive and playful with those she has met.
Loveable Ruby would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either another friendly dog for company (preferably male), or on own her own though only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time as she could get bored and up to mischief. Secure fencing and a good sized yard, daily walks, bones to chew on and lots of love will make Ruby very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
