About Kelly (On Trial 15/8/14)
Kelly is a very smart and super sweet, 2 year old, female, blue cattle dog x kelpie. She loves to play with other dogs of all sizes and is good with small children. She is a very affectionate young girl and a very fast learner, she enjoys any training you are willing to give her. She has started with foundations training for agility and flyball.

She absolutely loves water and has lots of fun playing under the sprinkler, in the wading pool and also loves the water that comes out of the hose. Kelly enjoys the beach and loves going for a swim in calm water. She always makes me laugh!
Kelly loves kids and plays really well with small children, appearing to know that they are little and to play gentle with them and not jump on them; adults she sometimes jumps up to greet them. She does bark a little bit when she's excited but generally she has not been a barker.
Affection is her middle name, she loves showing affection to all the little people she meets by giving them a very special, sloppy Kelly kiss!
Kelly gets along very well with male other dogs both big and small but doesn't like living with female dogs. Kelly is an energetic young girl who loves to play and run around; making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a walking or jogging partner or interested in dog training or dog sports.
Chasing balls that you throw is a favourite pastime. On her walks she is very good on her lead and doesn't pull at all.
True to her breed, Kelly wants to please you and loves being with people, getting lots of pats and attention. Kelly loves spending time with her family and spends time indoors whenever someone is home. She sleeps inside either in bed with us, on the lounge or on the dog bed, in the morning she comes to give you big morning cuddles and kisses. She is very respectful of the house and fully house trained. She will cuddle at your feet or curl up on your lap if allowed. Cuddles are her most favourite thing!
She is not a digger but she absolutely loves playing with her toys and she has chewed most of them; leaving alone anything she's not supposed to chew. Plenty of bones will assist with keeping her teeth clean.
Kelly would be suited to an active family with a big yard to play in or a nearby park for very regular exercise and play time; someone who can give her lots of stimulation and continue with some basic training which she loves.
For more information or to meet Kelly please phone foster carer Laura on 0497-098-508. Kelly is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Kelly's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
