About Reggie
Reggie is a perky, loving and cuddly dog. He would be perfect for someone who wanted the robustness and beautiful nature of a Staffy, but in a much smaller, more manageable size. He is a similar size to a jack russel and weighs-in at around 8kg. His short little legs are so cute!
He loves to be around humans and will stay close to you, even sit on your feet or lean on your leg. \ He rolls over to be patted and enjoys head scratches and being picked up. \ Out and about he takes no notice of prams or bikes, and he wags his tail and wants a pat from everyone who walks past.
Reggie is playful with other dogs, an older dog might find him a bit tiresome. He has a moderate activity level and can burn off his energy in a few quick sprints around the back yard or a short walk, although when given the opportunity he can play for hours. \
As he is still young, he will benefit from guidance about things like not jumping up when greeting people, and not chewing his lead, however he seems quite focused and trainable and also being so small he is very controllable. \ He occasionally attempts to chew things he shouldn't but after being told 'no' he has quickly stopped, he also respects boundaries such as not jumping up on the couch.
He accepts sleeping in a crate overnight with only a couple of quiet whimpers before he curls up and sleeps. He is also learning to enjoy being in the car, although at first he was afraid.
His coat is short and low-maintenance. He feels lovely to pat because his fur is so velvety and sleek.
Overall, Reggie is an adaptable little dog who would do well in almost any household. He takes everything in his stride and seems to have a very positive and calm outlook towards life. Reggie thrives with company and it would be ideal for him to have a doggy playmate who he can run and play with.
Reggie is located in Melbourne.
