About Xena
Xena was a very reluctant surrender by her foster carer. She was abandoned in a house when the young owner moved out. She was then rescue by an acquaintance who already had a couple of dogs and could not keep her. When she came on heat the neighbour dogs came to see her and her carers had trouble keeping them away. We got her desexed, immunised, chipped and tested all was well but the carers could not keep her anymore. We estimate that she is about 15-18mths old and that this was her second time on heat. She has a lovely nature, gets on well with other dogs, takes a submissive roll if required. She is fine with children and would make a lovely family dog.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, \ fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
