About Max (On Trial 25/5/14)
Max is an 11 month old Mini Fox Terrier. He has a lot of love to give and strives to be a good boy. He loves cuddles and lots of attention. He settles well when he can sit beside you and feels relaxed when he can touch you.
Max may be small, but he’s full of energy. He enjoys his walks and playing at the beach. He still has a lot to learn, so he needs someone patient who can will enjoy teaching him. He would benefit greatly from some training as this little one hasn’t been taught the basics yet. He tries very hard to please you and is eager to learn.
A family with a dog who knows the ropes may be good for Max as it would give him someone to copy, but he would also be happy as the only dog with someone who had time to for him.
Max has been good living with an 8 year old child and as he is only little, he would probably be fine around smaller children as well. Although still a puppy, Max is not a chewer, so the kid’s toys should be safe!
Max is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. He is a sweetheart and he is going to make someone very happy.
For more information or to meet Max, please contact his foster carer Katie on 0412 658 299. Max is in foster care in Gateshead, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Max's $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
