Cyprus

Cyprus is one of those genuinely happy, playful dogs with a friendly personality.

She loves to be around people. She'll race to the door as soon as she hears it open. If she's off exploring, she will come back when she is called at a gangly gallop.

She gets along famously with other dogs. She enjoys a bit of a wrestle but also knows when her playmate has had enough and will give her back her personal space.

Her love of treats is the secret to training her. In a short time she has learned to come, sit, stay (for a moment or two), wait for her dinner (that one was tricky!) and stay in her bed when she is inside. She is learning to walk on the lead and is working on not jumping up with joy. But she could still use some improvement on lead though.

Cyprus has happily lived with chooks, horses and cattle and shows no interest in them. While she hasn't met cats, with the right guidance, she'd likely be the same with them too.

Although she'd prefer to go with you, she will wait patiently for your return if you go out. She hasn't barked or fretted when left alone for a few hours by herself.

Cyprus adores children also.

Given her positive and engaging nature, Cyprus would adapt to most situations and would be a wonderful addition to a household. Cyprus is a medium energy dog and will require at least one hour of exercise a day.
