About Maggie the kelpie (On Trial 4/7/14)
Maggie is a gorgeous, 2 and a half year old, purebred kelpie. She is a fun playmate and a loving and affectionate companion dog. She is a very playful girl, and will try to instigate a game whenever she can. She also loves to hang out with you and just be your friend. She will happily give you a cuddle or laze on the lounge next to you.
Maggie is very energetic and loves to play a game of fetch, chase, or play fight with her other foster dog friend.
Maggie will sit when asked and we are teach her other obedience commands. She loves her food so responds will to reward based training. When she gets excited or wants attention she may jump up but she is learning to stop that. She pulls slightly on a lead and can get distracted by all the smells on a walk but otherwise she is lovely to walk.
Maggie does not mind being outside, especially if she has another dog friend to hang out with but she also loves to be inside with you to give you lots of licks and cuddles.
Maggie's ideal home would offer her lots of love and attention and playtime, and allow her inside. I would recommend she goes to a family who is home a lot or has another playful dog to be her companion. True to her breed, she is a very energetic dog so will need lots of exercise through playing in the yard and going on walks. She also needs someone who is happy and willing to spend time training her.
Maggie's is a wonderfully affectionate and loving dog and is a pleasure to be with. Her playfulness is infectious and she will bring a lot of love and life into any home she goes to.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
