About Zeus (On Trial 7/6/14)
Zeus is a sweet, 4 month old, staffy x bull terrier, male. He's the happiest kid in the world and gets very bouncy when he's excited. He is boisterous with his two staffy foster sisters and would suit a family with another energetic dog. Zeus loves a long walk and is learning how to walk on the lead but is easily distracted so needs further training with this. He also lives with a 15 yr old cat whom he would really like to play with if he was brave enough.
Zeus has played with older kids and loves to run and jump with them and would therefore be suited to a family without small children as he forgets how strong he is. He is learning to be gentle but is still a bit goofy and clumsy. Zeus thinks he is a lap dog at times and will cuddle up on the lounge with his humans. He sleeps inside and likes to have his own special bed occasionally cuddling up with the other dogs. He also likes to go to sleep with his chew toy.
Zeus has learnt very quickly to sit and wait for his dinner and treats, he loves a drink of milk in the morning but only lactose free :). He is still working on the house training but is only having the occasional accident and uses the doggy door to take himself outside when he likes. Like any young dog, Zeus would benefit from further training to help him become the fantastic boy he should be. He needs a family that are experienced with larger breeds or bull terriers and are willing to give him the time and attention he needs.
Zeus loves big pats and play and melts the hearts of all those that meet him with his big brown eyes and gangly legs. He's a super cute boy who can't wait to love and play with his forever family.
For more information or to meet Zeus, please contact his foster carer Kerry on 0417432864. Zeus is in foster care in Garden Suburb, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Zeus's $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
