Gemma

Gemma is a petite German Shepherd blend female who has been taken into care and is located at Picton.

Gemma is a blend of German Shepherd and we think collie so she is only medium sized weighin at around 24 kilos. She is a sweet natured girl and was found wandering the streets of the area.

Somewhat neglected she needed a good bath, worming and flea control and now she is a desexed girl and looking for a forever home.

Gemma is wonderful with people and social and friendly with other dogs we would not recommend she go to a home with pocket pets or cats though. Gemma is a clingy girl probably because she was dumped and she will need to go to a home where she can be an inside dog and with her human pack.

She will need a home where people are around her definitely for the first week or two ensuring she is kept close so a mature aged couple wanting a loving companion dog or a stay at home Mum who has the time to also commit to Gemma.

Gemma would not cope if left in a yard all day on her own and could develop separation anxiety if this occurs. \ So if you are looking for a sweet, medium sized very gentle dog who would sit at your feet and be your constant companion then consider Gemma.
