Yes, I’m a black cat but I deserve so much more than a Halloween reference. In fact, in many countries, black cats are a lucky symbol. Really, I can keep all sorts of creepy crawlies at bay – I’m a brilliant bug bopper!

Foster mum says: Kitty should be called Puppy – She loves laying at your feet as you watch TV and guarding you while you sleep. Kitty came to me at only 4 weeks old and, once she’s in for a big lovefest, will still nuzzle as if with mummy cat. This can involve a bit of dribbling! She can be a serious puss but once she gets going enjoys a play. Having lived with foster humans and animals, I would say Kitty tolerates other animals. Playful dogs, kids and strangers are a conundrum and she watches them from a distance with some interest. If strangers are worthy of her time and attention then she’ll mooch over. So I think a quieter life may be preferable but not a given. In the end Kitty is a truly loyal companion. Most of the time she looks like a stunning panther with her glossy coat and striking eyes. But then that tongue comes out and she loses all of her regal looks and looks like a gorgeous big wuss!
