About Waldo *On Trial in His New Home*
*ON TRIAL IN HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* “Look into my eyes and I dare you to not fall in love!” Meet adorable Waldo, he’s a delightful, relaxed little fella who’s looking for a loving home with lots of attention to give – will it be with you???
We’re gobsmacked that no one came to collect this gorgeous little ragamuffin when he ended up in our local pound after being picked up wandering the streets of Mildura, so we had to give him a chance. Waldo is now enjoying the good life in foster care where he’s being spoilt by his foster family and he’s not at all yappy or in your face; he’s a pleasure to have around. Our vets have guessed him as a Corgi crossed with a long-haired Terrier and at 7.4kgs he’s a nice ‘take-anywhere’ size. This fairly laidback, confident little dog is friendly and affectionate and adores human companionship. He gets along well with other dogs in particular his carers’ playful 1 year old Jack Russell cross and they enjoy each other’s company.
Clever Waldo is getting the hang of the name we gave him and has mastered “sit” – he’s a bright boy who cottons on quickly and walks well on a lead. He is very food orientated which has helped with his training and although he’s not really into toys we reckon he would be if his little mate wasn’t always hogging them! He does jump up a bit when he’s excited so we wouldn’t recommend him to a home with toddlers though school aged children would be great. Waldo sleeps inside at night (on his carers bed if he can get away with it!) and is housetrained.

Loveable Waldo is happy to be picked up and snuggled or he’ll sit quietly beside you while you watch tv, and he also likes to lie down and watch you while you go about your chores; he just enjoys being a part of the household goings on. He doesn’t appear to lose much hair and will only need the occasional brush (which he’s happy for you to do for us long as it takes!), a bath and a trim to keep his coat in tip top condition – he may look wiry though his fur is quite soft to touch.
Waldo would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly doggie companion or on his own in a home where his human/s are around a lot as he does get sooky when left alone for long periods of time making us suspect he’s always had company. Secure fencing, daily walks or runs around the backyard and loads of love will make Waldo very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
