About Wicked (On Trial 25/6/14)
Meet Wicked – a beautiful, 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog x Staffy that is full of love and life. His name should be "Friendly" not Wicked. He loves being around people, as well as other dogs as he likes to play. He gets on well with other dogs of any size and age and is in foster care with 3 other dogs that he loves. Wicked has gotten used to having company around often, and has grown up in a household with another dog (before he sadly passed away) and two cats that he adored.
Wicked loves children and cannot wait to give them big kisses and play. He is gentle natured, though quite solid and does not always know his strength so may be best with children a little older.
He knows commands such as sit and stay and “bed” – by which he will hop into his bed and cuddle up, which is very cute to watch!
Wicked needs to sleep inside and know that you are close by, and will sleep through the night if he is comfortable. He is toilet trained and knows the word “toilet” when he is let outside. He will hover near the door when he needs to be let out too. He still has the occasional accident inside, though he is generally pretty good at doing his business outside.
Wicked could benefit from further training to work on commands such a stay and down (he likes to jump up a little when he’s excited!) but is quite obedient. And as he’s such a smart boy he will catch on really quick. He needs a good yard to run around, and loves trips to the park where he can really let loose! Wicked has travelled in the car from a young age so travels extremely well in a car harness.
Wicked loves lots of big pats, belly rubs and attention and is a big softie at heart! Wicked is a very sweet, caring and loving dog and cannot wait to find his forever home where he will be cherished.
For more information or to meet Wicked, please contact his foster carer Bethany on 0400-363-759. Wicked is in foster care in Killarney Vale, NSW (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Wicked's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
