About Taz *On Trial in His New Home*
*TAZ IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* \ Meet Taz! He’s a 46 kilo hunk of spunk Rotti who’s looking for a loving forever home; will it be with you???
Taz is a victim of ‘child moves out and leaves dog with parents’ and unfortunately the parents in this case live on a property without fencing and can’t bear the thought of this beautiful dog living his life on a chain which is what they’ve been having to do while they’re at work as Taz likes to wander off looking for company therefore running the risk of being hit by a car or worse still being shot by an angry farmer, so they made the decision to rehouse him and we’ve promised to find Taz a fantastic fully-fenced home.
Smart-boy Taz has lovely manners; he’s very calm, cool and confident and doesn’t jump up on you. Taz is a rather tactile dog who likes to touch you or be right beside you either leaning on you or sitting very close - he just thrives on human companionship and will happily follow you around all day. This solid, friendly, affectionate fella is good with children though a home with school aged children would be best as he may accidentally bowl the little ones over. He is housetrained and good inside where he knows to lie quietly on his mat. He also knows “sit” and “stay” and loves food which will help with any further training you might like to do with him. Taz is extremely strong to walk so would be best with an experienced handler – he may even be suited to a Halti or Gentle Leader which could help curb his pulling.

Taz is not a “yapper” though will give a nice, deep warning bark when there’s a reason too making him a good watchdog – he can be quite protective when it comes to his own space and strangers. Being 2 years old he is over the worst of the “digging and chewing”. \ He absolutely loves going for a drive and travels well on the back of a ute. \ Taz lives with a female Rotti (she's not a wanderer) and they are great mates and he also lives with a little 14 year old Maltese cross who he’s equally friendly with. He does show interest in the household cats though a firm “no” puts him back in his place.
Loveable Taz would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with another friendly dog, preferably female or if he was to be an only child then it would need to be in a situation where his humans are home a lot as he’s always had company and could run the risk of getting bored and up to mischief. Secure fencing and a good sized yard, daily walks, bones to chew on and lots of attention will make Taz very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
