About Puppy Miley (On Trial 9/6/14)
Miley is a gorgeous 9 week old, female, red Australian Cattle Dog x, puppy. She is now growing into a gorgeous cheeky girl. She loves a cuddle and gives lots of kisses. Still being so young, she mostly wants to play and sleep. She has a beautiful white and red coat with pretty facial features. She is roughly 5kgs now and still growing. She will grow to be a medium size dog.
Miley loves to play with my four dogs and her little brother Braveheart who is also available for adoption http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/293343. She loves my 3 year old son so I believe she would play well with all children around that age and older.
Miley loves to eat and will chew anything as she is still teething so chew toys and bones are recommended! We are housetraining her but this will take a bit more time to perfect as she is still too young to be able to have full control. She has had a little practice on the lead and enjoys the outside world. We always recommend puppy-training classes to help you learn how to train and socialise your puppy and give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Miley is too young to be outside all day alone so will need to go to a home with another dog for company. We would also prefer for her to have live with someone who doesn't work full time as he still requires 3 feeds a day for a little while longer. Miley needs to have regular time indoors each day to enjoy being with her family and to sleep inside. (Currently sleeping in her crate with her brother).
Miley and Braveheart have been in care since they were 6 weeks old. They have not yet met any cats, pet birds or pocket pets such as guinea pigs or rabbits.
Miley will bring lots of laughs and cuddles into your home.
For more information or to meet Miley please email foster carer Rachael at alg77@live.com.au or if you don’t have email you may leave a message on 0402 774 287 with your contact information. Miley is in foster care in Newcastle and is NOT available for adoption interstate and cannot be taken till the 14th of May. You can meet her now though.
Miley's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing at one of our preferred vets, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. See all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
