About Bailey (Cat and Chicken Friendly) On Trial
Bailley is still a pup at only 12 months. He is cat and chicken friendly!
“Hi I’m Bailley and I’m a handsome black boy looking for my forever family to give me lots of love and company. I give terrific kisses and if cuddling and roaching were Olympic sports I would get gold medals. I’m ever so happy and I like making friends with everybody.
I have lots of foster brothers and sisters so I’m very well socialised. Some are greyhounds, some of them are these funny dogs that go cluck and quack ( I can’t figure them out at all), and some are small dogs my foster parents call cats – they don’t always like me saying hello for too long and bop me away. But that’s ok, I don’t hold it against them. I heard some greyhounds like to chase them but I don’t. I just find someone else to say hello to.
My favourite thing to do is to snuggle up on the couch with you while you watch your favourite TV show or movie (don’t worry if there isn’t much room, I’m really good at making room for myself). I can’t watch it with you because I was born nearly blind, but I’m a great listener! When my foster dad gets home I’m the first one up when I hear his van growl up the driveway. So don’t let my handicap bother you – it doesn’t bother me.
I’m only 1 year old so I’m still learning and very playful. I love wrestling and playing tug of war but I can’t play catch. I’ve learned to run around the yard with my other foster greyhound brother and sisters by listening where they are, and I have a really good memory so if you don’t move things around too much I can get around on my own without running into stuff. I’ve figured out how to get up and down off the couch all by myself too. I couldn’t at first you know, I could get up but then I couldn’t see how to get down and I would cry out for my foster mum to tell her I was marooned and she would laugh and give me a pat telling me I was special.
I don’t like being by myself, I get so lonely when I don’t know where everyone is. Sometimes my pesky foster sister Niamh hides from me on purpose for a joke. I don’t think it’s funny and I cry until some doggy comes back to find me. Because I can’t really see I would really like a family that has a doggy brother or sister for me to hang out with and I can follow around. They would be super helpful to me when we are out walking in places I don’t know. I really like going for walks but make sure you let me have lots of good sniffs because that’s the way I can enjoy the scenery!

Medical notes
Bailey was born nearly blind, however that does not stop him! He would be best-suited to a home with another dog.
He is small dog, cat and chicken friendly!
Adoption details
After completing a Greyhound Rescue Application form we will need to complete a house check. We do allow a 2 week trial period. We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
