About Rhapsody
Hi, I’m Rhapsody. My foster carer says I look like a sleekit wee beastie with my silky smooth, jet black coat. I must admit, I am a bit of a stunner and I have a sheen a new car would be jealous of.
I never walk when I can run and leap over obstacles with a bound that would impress Superman. Hey! I’m Superkitty!
Although I am very rambunctious and active, I am also shy of new people and situations. My foster carer says it’s because I’m still a kitten and can be overwhelmed by lots of new experiences. I am a little bit of a risk taker – I have jumped long distances from one chair back to another, sometimes missing, most of the time nailing the landing.
I enjoy pats, but because I’m still a kitten I forget that they’re pats and will play “Killer Kitty” with your hand. I need a family with lots of time for a playful kitty and who will play tag with me. I think I would do well with another cat – I live with an older cat who’s a real grump and every now and then I rush out from behind something, catch her tail, and then run away again. I think it’s fun but the grump doesn’t.
I will sit beside you and doze off, happy to accept your pats and in return you will get a deep rumble of a purr. I have lots of love and fun to give. I don’t like being picked up – there is too much going on down on the floor that I could be missing out on for me to really enjoy pick up cuddles at this stage.
I haven’t been introduced to dogs, so I don’t know what they’re like. I poke faces at the ones I live with who are outside, but they haven’t come inside. And so long as young children are aware that I can be a bit “ruff & tuff” I am playful with them.
