About Sir Lancelot
This handsome boy lives up to his knighthood as he parades along the street with his good looks and impeccable manners .... he is quite a stunner! It was not like that to start though as Sir Lancelot had to learn quickly that stealing from your plate on the table was rude and raiding the cupboard or climbing on the kitchen bench looking for tit bits was unacceptable. He may have been left alone and possibly hungry for long periods in his previous life because he had no idea how to behave in civilised company. That is all changed now and Sir Lancelot has become very polite so will sit for treats, wait patiently for his dinner and come when he is called. He likes to learn tricks and has proved to be very smart. Sir Lancelot likes other dogs, is quiet and enjoys your company, follows you round the house and sleeps at your feet as he is a bit big for a lap dog. He enjoys his food, likes to chew on a bone and is house trained. Sir Lancelot loves going for long walks and gallops through the bush or across the park but is never far from you and comes back the instant you call him. He could be homed as an only dog, although he enjoys company so would be better with a medium sized rather than a smaller companion to play with because he is really just a big puppy. Sir Lancelot is a house dog with a low maintenance coat that doesn't shed and he will only require regular bathing and a trim.
Medical notes
Sir Lancelot has been diagnosed with epilepsy which may be the reason his owners dumped him at the Pound! The treatment for dogs with epilepsy is not difficult once diagnosed. Sir Lancelot is on three quarters of a Phenobarbitone tablet twice daily and this keeps him seizure free. Each bottle of Phenobarbitone contains 200 tablets which costs approximately $75 and lasts for three months.
