About Cupcake (now Sunny)
Cupcake is a lovely, sociable little Kelpie mix puppy - friendly with humans and dogs alike. She is very affectionate and loves cuddles and pats.
As you would expect from a Kelpie, she is very smart and trainable. Her toileting-training is coming along very well and she (mostly) comes when called. She is being taught basic obedience and some basic tricks training. She has learned how to come in and out of a dog door.
She travels well in a car in a crate \ and in a dog harness and sleeps quietly in a crate at night. She is learning very well to have an 'off switch' and behave calmly in the house - which is a very important behaviour.
She has learned to sit and for her food, which is impressive for an impatient little puppy. She loves company so would love a home with an older and well-trained doggy companion to show her the ropes - but would also be fine as a solo dog as long as she has lots of human time.
She is very agile and loves to run, play with a ball and tug. She also loves playing with toys. Mostly she loves being with her humans.
Cupcake will only be placed with a family who understands working breeds and is able to offer her sufficient mental as well as physical enrichment. Like all working dogs, she will find her own fun and entertainment if not suitably enriched. She would be ideal for an owner who participates in dog sports.
You can follow her progress in foster care at her blog: http://koalathebear.dreamwidth.org/tag/cupcake.
You can apply to adopt her and arrange to meet her by downloading an application form from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptumt34ghzl8fyk/RADAR%20Application%20%28CD%29.doc and emailing it to her carer. If you simply want to have a chat about her, then click the link below to make an inquiry.
