Morty and Maggie (On Trial 9/5/14(pair of puppies)

Introducing puppies Morty and Maggie who are 4 month old Maltese x Shih Tzu x Toy Poodle x Pekingese cross. They are siblings from the same litter and they love to play and snuggle together. They look to each other for reassurance and guidance and they need to stay together when they go to their forever home.

Maggie: She is a cuddly ball of adorable puppy. She is a very friendly, playful and social puppy. She loves to play and wrestle with her brother, Morty, chase the ball and cuddle up to her teddies. She's a real snuggle bunny who will cuddle into your neck when you pick her up. Maggie has slightly darker fur on her face.

Morty: He a lively, friendly and gorgeous fluffy puppy. He loves to play and wrestle with his sister, Maggie. They love to chase the ball together and his favourite game is to grab her teddy in his mouth and run off with it. He loves to snuggle on your lap and loves nothing more than a nap in his bed with his sister. Morty is a pint sized ball of personality. He's very affectionate and full of spunk!

They are currently living with a family that has two young children, a cat and 3 other dogs and they are getting along well with everyone. Morty does like to chase the cat in an inquisitive way. He has never shown any signs of aggression towards the cat (I think he thinks it a dog to play with) but we are teaching him not to chase.

Maggie and Morty love playing outdoors and exploring the yard and have been known to dance in the rain and play in the mud! They also love to come inside for a nap in between their adventures. In their new home, Maggie and Morty will need to be allowed to come inside the house when the family is home so they can be part of the family. They need to be allowed to sleep indoors at night. Currently, they sleep well in their cosy doggy bed inside overnight and don't cry. They are also doing very well with her toilet training, learning their names and have started learning some basic commands like sit and stay. As with all puppies, Maggie and Morty's new family will need to continue with their training and be prepared for all the thrills and spills of puppyhood.

Being young puppies, Maggie and Morty are energetic and playful. They love playing outside and will require a yard to play in. They will also require regular exercise and games to keep them healthy, active and well socialised.

They will grown into small dogs of around 5 or 6 kilos. They have low shedding coats which need regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep them comfortable and healthy.
