About Sandy
ON TRIAL 26/4/14: Hi everyone, I’m Sandy a female mastiff cross, around 12 months of age and I was wondering if you have ever heard that song – Take a chance on me.
That’s all I ask of you, take a chance on me.
What I can tell you is that I am a very affectionate girl with a magnetic personality, who aims to please.
Do you know that my name means defender of men, protector of mankind! So, I will be more than happy to look after my new family.
I am a very social young lady, and get on well with other dogs; I love life and am full of energy and love. If you have another dog that’s great I would really like a friend to play with. We could help each other burn up lots of energy during the day, so when you come home we are ready to snuggle and listen to how your day was.
It’s okay if I am an only dog, but you would need to take me for long walks, exercise me regularly to keep my energy levels in check. It would be great if you could devote some time to dog training classes for me as this allows me to bond with you and also provides me with both mental and physical stimulation.
Since I have been in foster care I have learnt to sit, stay and come when called and I am still adapting to walking on the lead.
During the day I love being outside to soak up the sunrays and fresh air, it makes me feel glad to be alive and of an evening there is nothing better than to come inside have some real quality time with you.
My goal in life is to love and be loved, and be part of a family and part of your everyday life.
If you are after a gal like me that will offer you unconditional love, loyalty and affection can you please call my foster carer to make arrangements to drop by and say “Hi”. Once you meet me I believe it will be love at first sight.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
