About Puppy Avery (On Trial 25/4/14)
Avery is a 6 week old female Labrador x German Shepherd. She is going to be medium to large breed in size.
I am a very happy, loving and playful puppy and I love all my foster brothers and sisters of all breeds, sizes and ages (11 weeks to 11years) from a Mastiff x Great Dane ages nearly 2yrs to a mini Pomeranian aged 11 years.
I am a very sociable pup who loves to explore my garden and play with my many toys. I am very smart and I am learning to sit and do high fives and shake hands. I must go to a home that is local to the Newcastle area and will not be able to go to a home that has rural fencing (wire). I require 6 foot high colourbond fencing and would love to go to puppy school.
I must sleep inside while I am a puppy up to 6mths old (preferably forever). I spend my days in the yard exploring and playing. My foster mum is home all the time so I am always supervised. My new home would ideally have someone who works from home or a stay at home mum. I need a home that has another social dog that will keep me company and teach me new things. I will need a large warm and cosy kennel undercover and out of the weather when I get older (7 mths old) unless I can sleep inside, which I would love.
I must be locked securely inside when you go out while I am little and when I am older. You must have padlocks on your gates. I sleep inside at night with my teddy’s. I also haven't met a cat yet but I am young enough to learn to get along.
I am not available for interstate adoption. I will be ready to go to my new home in 4 weeks when I am 10 weeks old (mid May)

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
