About Sophie-Lee (On Trial 21/4/14)
Sophie-lee here I am a 9 week old German Shepherd cross Labrador, and I am just a little bit cute. In the short time me and my brother Sarge have been with our foster carer we have won them over, and everyone who visits.
Being a young pup I do need training, but I do not think this will be difficult at all as I am a very quick learner. I will sit for her dinner, as long as you do not keep me waiting too long. Car trips are great, I just curl up and sleep until you get where you are going.
I am learning to walk on the lead but I prefer to take her brother for a walk, this is funny to watch. I love to mix it up with the other dogs here both big and small and will run around with them until she has had enough and then she will just wander off for a bit of R & R. But what she really loves is a cuddle from her human friends.
For more information or to meet me please phone foster carer Anne on 0412 837 867 or email anne_armitage@bigpond.com. Anne is in foster care near Charlestown, NSW (south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Sophie Lee’s $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
