About Sarge (On Trail 21/4/14)
*** Sarge is on hold pending adoption. Please consider his sister SOPHIE LEE http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/288759
***
Hi there, I’m Sarge a 9 week old German Shepherd x Labrador. I am a sweet little man who loves to explore anything new, especially in the garden, because I can also play hide and seek when I’m in the garden.
I enjoy the company of everyone, human or canine. I love to play with a ball be it tennis or soccer, soccer balls are a bit difficult for me to carry around as they are bigger than me at the moment. I like to play in the water and think baths are the best; I just lay back and soak it all up.
We have been having a try with walking on a lead; this is great fun, and I also travel well in the car I will just lay down and go to sleep.
Even though I am only young I will sit and wait for food, just don’t leave me hanging too long.
In the two weeks that me and my sister Sophie-lee have been with our foster carer we have managed to worm our way into their hearts and will have no trouble doing the same with whoever becomes our forever family.
For more information or to meet me please phone foster carer Anne on 0412 837 867 or email anne_armitage@bigpond.com. Anne is in foster care near Charlestown, NSW (south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Sarge’s $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Will be desexed at correct age
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
