About Toby *On Trial in His New Home*
*TOBY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Toby the Toy Poodle has oodles of energy! He’d love a forever home with an energetic playful doggie like himself for company; does your home fit the bill???
Recently surrendered to SARG as he was a bit too bouncy for his elderly owner Toby is settling in well into foster care where he’s been desperately trying to make friends with the household cat. This little bundle of joy also loves the company of other dogs though he’d be better with one who is playful like himself as an older more serious dog would easily be annoyed by Toby’s puppy silliness. Friendly, affectionate Toby doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and adores humans of all shapes and sizes. He would be best suited to a home with older children as he does jump up a lot when excited (which is most of the time!), so will need some training to help with this. Speaking of training Toby hasn’t had much if any in his short life, so his carer is teaching him to “sit” using treats (he loves food!), though pop the boy on a lead and he’s an absolute pleasure to take for a walk and becomes instantly calm – hence why his profile pics were taken while he was on a lead!
Terrific Toby thinks toys are great fun and he’s been learning to fetch and as you can see from this video he enjoys a game of tug-o-war: http://youtu.be/Rk4gob8Qsno
Being a purebred Toy Poodle Toby is a low-allergy type of dog who doesn’t lose any hair though he will require regular brushing and a professional clip when needed to keep him looking his best. As Toby is already housetrained he would he would be best suited to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle with a friendly dog (or cat!) for companionship and fun times - if he was to be an only dog it would need to be in a home where his humans are home a lot as he would get bored and up to mischief. His new forever owner will need to make a commitment to continue his training and provide a secure yard, daily walks or runs around the backyard, chicken necks to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated which will help make Toby very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
