About Duncan
Duncan is a male ginger, approximately two years old. We are discovering more and more of his personality every day, he is a very different cat to the day he came into our care. He loves sitting in the sunshine, and getting scratched under the chin. He isn't afraid to ask for what he wants, only eating fresh food and drinking out of a full bowl of water. He is starting to enjoy being held, but we would not recommend having him around children. He enjoys his own space, but likes knowing you are close by.
Duncan came to our care via our local pound, and as part of his health assessment was tested for FIV (feline aids) and tested positive.
With his sweet nature and stunning looks we have decided to persist with his rehousing.
The fact that Duncan is FIV positive means he will need to live the remainder of his life confined indoors, with no other feline companions that could potentially be affected.
Another consideration is that just like in people this is a virus that can affect the immunity status of our poor boy, meaning that simple cat flu etc, can be more serious for him to fight off than an unaffected feline.
But by no means does this mean that dear little Duncan will not live a happy life, he is, and has been a picture of health for the many weeks we have had him in our care and has now had all his vetwork completed and is looking for his forever home.
