About Mia
Hi my name is Mia and I am a cute little girl who is loving and friendly and just wants to please you as much as I can. I crave attention and am very aware of my surroundings and vulnerable to rejection. I have already had 2 homes in my short life and came to my present home from another rescue service a year or so back.
I am not suitable for a home with poultry, cats, small dogs or other small animals.
I am presently living with a little pom x terrier and its fair to say I give it a hard time. I have also been eyeing off the cats. \ I am young though and only walked twice a week so get a little stir crazy.
What I need is a single dog home with an active family who will give me daily walks and lots of playtime with things like tug toys.
I get on well with other medium sized dogs but tend to take over if they have something I want like a toy or a chew. This is where I would really benefit from Obedience Training. \ Not only would it improve my social skills but I would drink it all in as I am very intelligent and keen to learn new commands. I have just never been taught how to behave around others.
I will be a wonderful addition to a family who have time to spend with me and who will treat me as one of the family, not left outside on my own. There are no children in my present home. However I love people so much one would assume I would be a great pet for older children, who are big enough not to be bowled over. I really enjoy travelling in the car and am used to getting fed well with a mix of fresh meat and a good quality dry food so would love that to keep happening please.
Better photos will be taken when I arrive on the weekend.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
