Shorty (On Trial 15/5/14)

Shorty is a purebred English Staffy, 8 to 12 months old. He is a handsome young gentleman with a lot of love to give. He has a big, happy personality! He loves the water! It's hard to keep him out of his favourite clam shell pool. He is not afraid to go swimming anywhere and loves to play with running water but is not aggressive when the hose is on.

Shorty knows basic commands, is very eager to please and is a quick learner. As any dog would, he would benefit from further obedience training. He is great on a lead and is currently getting used to walking with a Halti (a lead that goes around the muzzle for head control ) and he is doing great. He is fully housetrained. He is also crate trained, meaning he accepts being in a cage overnight or up to a couple of hours during the day.

On our adventures, Shorty is always happy to meet other dogs of all shapes and sizes and always has good manners. He gets along well with the other dogs in our household, and also with new dogs that he meets. He is also living with a cat for the first time and they are getting along great!

Shorty is a very gentle boy that loves affection. He has a lot of energy and would be best suited to an active person or family with children over the age of 5 years.
