About Tasha (On Trial 16/4/14)
Tasha is a happy 2 year old, female, Maltese x Shih Tzu. She loves everybody: kids, adults and big and small dogs. She's a friendly, playful girl who loves to receive attention. Tasha loves going out for a walk. She travels well in the car.
Tasha has a cute trick of jumping up into your arms for a cuddle. She is used to being an inside dog who is adored by her owner and this is the type of lifestyle she would need when adopted. Tasha would be most suitable for a young retired couple or maybe a family with a stay at home mum. She does jump up with excitement when she sees you though, so would be better with children over 5 so they don't get knocked over. Tasha is toilet trained.
As Tasha has a non shedding coat she will need a brush every few days, a bath every 2 to 3 weeks and a trip to the groomers around every 6 to 8 weeks to keep her coat in great condition.
For more information or to meet Tasha, please contact Michelle on 0423266911 or email furryfullhouse5@gmail.com. Tasha is in foster care in Mallabulla, NSW (Port Stephens, north of Newcastle).
Tasha's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
