About Jayda the Rotti (On Trial 12/4/14)
Jayda is a 23 month old pure bred female Rottweiler. You can’t resist falling in love with me when you look into my big brown eyes!
Although I have had a tough start in life I now love life and cant wait to find a loving home where my confidence can grow and grow.
Although I love to interact with other dogs and have them in my current foster home I would also love to be the sole recipient of my owner’s attention.
My favorite pastime is playing with children & rolling around in the grass or having time snuggling on the lounge as if I am a lap dog. I also enjoy going to the beach but am not yet up to the off-leash stage yet but I am sure with the right training this would only be a matter of time.
I like to travel in the car and I didn’t even cry when I had my needles and had a great time visiting at the vets.
Jayda will need to go to somewhere that she is a member of the family - not someone who wants a guard dog. She will also need someone who understands the Rottweiler breed and all their needs as she weighs just short of 40 kgs.
Jayda is full of love and enjoys the company of people, she loves nothing better than being part of her human family and having cuddles and snuggles, and she is ready to find her forever home now. She would need to be allowed inside and to sleep inside at night as she has been doing in her Foster home. Since being in foster care Jayda is starting to learn basic commands and knows her name and how to sit. She can be very excited around food but it was only because of the environment she was in and her manners are getting better.
Jayda is very beautiful and has the typical gorgeous black and tan coloring and markings of a Rottweiler and has a gorgeous personality. Jayda is very friendly and loves to meet new people and animals.
We always recommend training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
For more information or to meet Jayda please phone foster carer Siobhan on 02 49525406 or 0408 603156 or email jandspurins@bigpond.com. Jayda is in foster care in New Lambton, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Jayda's $500 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
