About Chloe (On Trial 7/4/14)
Chloe is a sweet, little 6 year old female Maltese/Shih Tzu x with beautiful fluffy ears. She is a placid, adorable little dog who loves nothing more than cuddles. Chloe is an inside dog who is very well toilet trained. She is quite fond of excursions in the car and visiting friends (human friends). She loves people, especially the kids and is fine with our cat.
Chloe's ideal furever home would be with a single person, a couple or a family where she is an only dog. She tolerates going for a walk with our other foster dog however at home she is intimidated around the other dogs. She is past the energetic puppy stage in her life and while she does get excited about going for a walk, she's just as happy to kick back on the lounge. Ideally she would need a short walk most days to keep her healthy and happy. Chloe is definitely an inside dog. She will go outside for her toilet duties and to have a short sniff around the yard before returning to the comfort of her bed inside. She sleeps well inside at night and hasn't had any accidents. She is very well behaved inside and doesn’t chew things. Prior to coming to DRN she had escaped from a yard that had wire type fencing so Chloe's new home would require secured fencing, preferably colourbond to keep her safe in the yard.
When she first came to us she was timid and unsure, however within a few days of living with us she seemed to realise that she was safe and cared for and she relaxed into being the lady of the house. She has left no lounge un-slept on! She looks to people for reassurance when she's frightened and she needs lots of cuddles when there's a storm outside.
She loves going for a drive in the car and would make an excellent travel companion. She's happy to have a bath and go to the hairdresser. She eats her dinner with no fuss and walks well on the lead. Chloe's ideal home will be where she has human company, lots of love and someone to snuggle up to.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
