About Jelly Bean ~(On Trial 9/5/14) ~ I have a video!
Hi, my name is Jelly Bean, a male mastiff cross approximately 4 months old and definitely full of beans! Especially when playing with my two older fur-siblings and favourite toys however I wear myself out quickly and happily settle down for a puppy nap. I am then up and ready to play again! I am a friendly, affectionate and handsome boy who loves to give puppy kisses and enjoy a cuddle but will also sit quietly on the rug when I am allowed in at night before bed time.
Sleeping outside in my kennel suits me as I love the outdoors & have siblings to keep me company, I am not scared of the dark or a bit of thunder and lightning. I am also allowed indoors and I am currently being toilet trained which is going well and I can understand basic commands.
I have been told that I am a fast learner and respond well to training which is great as I will require ongoing training once I find my furever home.
I love to play with my toys and also enjoy going for walks and I am learning to walk nicely on the lead. Walks are great fun but as a pup I tire easily so don’t require long walks, as I grow the length of my walks will need to be increased
I really enjoy meal times! I am learning that it is rude to try and eat my fur sibling’s food and they are teaching me the doggy manners I need so that I only eat from my bowl. I am very food motivated so I respond well to commands when there is a treat and kind word on offer when I do as I am asked.
I am a low maintenance boy who has a low shedding coat that will benefit from a bath and a brush to keep my coat healthy and shiny but does not require professional grooming.
My ideal family would be active and happy to include me in their activities when they are home and exercise me to ensure that I burn up energy. I am going to be a big dog so would suit a home with no young children who I could accidentally knock over. I have not been tested with cats or any pocket pets but would be likely to chase these.
I am a young happy boy who will be great for the right person, couple or family and would love to find my furever family soon so I can learn how to be the perfect pet for them.
If you would like to meet me please contact my foster carer Sarah on 0403 743 099 or email Sjwray16@gmail.com. I am currently in care in Thornton (West of Newcastle).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
