About Ollie (On Trial ~7/4/14)
Introducing OLLIE - a 1 year old male Papillion cross. Ollie is an adorable, healthy, happy and energetic bundle of cuteness who would love to give you lots of doggy kisses if you'd let him. He loves kids, other dogs, and playing with his toys in the yard.
Ollie would be best suited to a family that has a yard for him to run and play and who'd be willing to take him for walks and teach him everything he needs to learn to reach his full potential. He loves everyone he meets and he'd be very happy to live with children. At the moment he lives with two (noisy) kids (aged 5 and 6), 4 other dogs and a cat and he gets along well with all of us. Ollie would LOVE a doggy companion and would suit a home where there is a dog that is the same size as him or bigger and who would be willing to play with him and show him the ropes of doggy life.
Ollie is a smart little firecracker and he's very motivated to learn. Since arriving with us he has learnt to sit and stay and he is learning how to walk on a lead and play fetch. His new family would need to be patient with him and willing to continue his training as he is a young dog, just out of puppyhood and he's still learning. He would love to experience new adventures and enjoy being part of a family that loves him.
Ollie currently sleeps outside with our other dogs in his kennel. He is allowed inside the house when we are home and he's is going well with his toilet training. In his furever home, he would need to be allowed to come inside for company (he loves watching TV with the kids).
He will sleep outside if he has a comfy kennel and a doggy companion but would be happier inside. His kennel will need to be near the house so he can see what his family were up to so he felt safe and part of the action. Ollie sleeps well at night and isn't a yappy dog, but he will let you know if someone arrives at the house.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
