About Shanti (On Trial 4/7/14)
Introducing Shanti. She has such beautiful colouring and features, you will fall in love with her at first sight. This gorgeous girl is a 7 months old Staffy x. She will always great you with a wag of the tail and a happy face because she is so thrilled to see you.
She is currently on the small side but still has a little bit of growing to do. She will be a medium sized dog.
Like all puppies Shanti is energetic and playful and loves chasing after toys (not necessarily bringing them back) and food/treat dispensing toys. She is currently in foster care with two older medium sized dogs and she loves to engage in boisterous play with them. So if you have a bored medium sized dog that needs a playmate, Shanti is your girl!
Her ideal home would offer her plenty of attention - especially if she is an only dog, lots of walks, a secure yard and someone who is willing to train her and socialise her with other dogs. We always recommend training for puppies. She is currently learning the commands to sit, stay and come and is eager to learn with reward based training, We are also focusing on toilet training. With her puppy energy and excitement Shanti will jump up to greet you, so it should be considered if you have young children that she might knock them over (I have no problem with my 10 year old son).
This happy little girl would make a wonderful member of any family that is willing to treat her like part of the family. She will love you to bits and be your best friend for life.
For more information or to meet Shanti please phone foster carer Rochelle on 0447 336 777 or email rochellemadden@me.com. Shanti is in foster care on the Central Coast of NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Shanti's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
