About Tui (On Trial 29/3/14)
Tui is a fun-loving, happy and active puppy who is always smiling and wagging his tail. He loves everyone that he meets! He is 10 months old, and is a Foxy x Jack Russell Terrier. He is very affectionate , energetic and loves to play. He especially loves his squeaky toys! He can fetch and is even satisfied amusing himself with the toys in a little game. He knows his name and is even learning to sit – we have been teaching him to sit before treats and his dinner and he is learning very quickly! He enjoys other playful dogs.
Tui is in the process of being toilet trained, though still has the occasional accident inside, as there are lots of smells with my other male dogs inside to tempt him. Be patient with him as he’s a fast learner and just needs to be taken outside regularly. He loves being outside to play and run around. However, Tui needs to be an allowed inside dog too because he loves the company of humans. He isn't happy left alone and will cry and be a bit anxious.
Tui loves his getting out for exercise and he walks extremely well on the lead. He loves the beach, though bigger dogs can scare him a little at first, so continued socialisation with dogs of all sizes will help him learn that big dogs are fun to play with too! He travels well in the car and will just watch the scenery go by out the window. Not much phases Tui, he is even OK in storms so long as he can see a friendly face close by.
Tui's favourite time is dinner time! Of an evening, he also enjoys a rawhide treat while relaxing with his family indoors. He enjoys watching a bit of telly and rolling over for belly scratches. He is a fabulous companion!
As Tui loves people so much he would be most suited to a family who has someone home often, and/or has another small dog to play and be pals with.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
