About Heidi *On Trial in Her New Home*
*HEIDI IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME* Itty-bitty Heidi is a little bundle of energy! At just 15 months old, she is a dainty little miss who is always up for a bit of fun. She’d love a place where her humans are home a lot or where she’d have a young, friendly male dog for company; does your home fit the bill???
Surrendered to our local pound as she was a bit too lively for her elderly owners and kept getting under their feet, Heidi has settled into foster care where she’s enjoying being pampered and spoilt by her carers teenage children. This nimble little dog loves being on your lap and will jump up there at any opportunity she can get – lucky she only weighs a tiny 2.3kgs! \ She can jump incredibly high for her size; just 2 taps on your chest when you’re standing and Heidi will leap into your arms! She gets along well with her carers own little dogs who put Heidi in her place when she gets too “in their face” wanting to play all the time. She is still quite young and a bit “mouthey” (something her carer is working on) so we wouldn’t recommend her to a home with young children – 10 years or over would be best. For some unknown reason Heidi can be a bit anxious and scared of tall men – she took a while to get used to her carers husband who means her no harm though now if he gets down to her level she’s fine and she’s even happy to hop up for a cuddle from him when he’s seated on their couch, so we’ve put it down to a height thing because at the same time Heidi is wonderful with her carers young teenage son. \ Heidi has definitely gotten braver as she proved to us recently when she joined in the fun at our Paws Along The Murray event, taking the 300 dogs and over 500 people in her tiny stride!

Pocket-rocket Heidi is a busy little dog who rarely stops and boy can she run fast! She loves exploring her carers’ yard or entertaining herself by playing with her toys. \ She’s been getting the hang of “sit” using treats though she hasn’t mastered the doggie door yet, so her carer will keep helping. Heidi enjoys time inside with the family and has only had a couple of “accidents” which probably could’ve been helped if she’d managed to brave the doggie door! She sleeps in the laundry with her carers dogs and uses a puppy pad overnight. Pretty little Heidi is fairly low-maintenance and doesn’t mind a brush and a bath. Secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on, toys to play with and lots of love in her forever home will make Miss Heidi very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
