About Buster (On Trial 28/3/14)
This is Buster and he would love to be your best friend. You will never find a sweeter guy than him. He’s a 6 year old Cavalier x Shih Tzu and a real cutie. Buster has smooth wavy fur that’s white with tan patches on his back and belly, floppy ears and big brown panda eyes. His coat is pretty low maintenance needing a weekly brush and occasional bath and trim to keep him looking handsome.
Buster’s idea of heaven is to curl up with you for a nap or a cuddle. He loves his chew toys, tug of war and a run around the back yard with a ball when he’s feeling frisky. He enjoys his walks, having a good sniff around as he goes, and doesn’t seem to mind new dogs. He travels well in the car and enjoys a nice trip. He met my nieces (aged 4 and 10) and was so lovely and gentle with them. He went and sat with them while they played.
Buster is a happy camper and will need someone who can spend time with him as he doesn’t like to be left alone and will cry. This little guy would be a great companion for other dogs as he loves play time and would be best suited to someone who is looking to add to their furry family. He is a real gentleman with my other dogs and they romp together for hours. He is definitely an inside dog, day and night.
Buster can be timid and needs to be treated with kindness and a soft voice. He’s a total marshmallow. He is shy and will bark at strangers at first but after a few seconds will sneak up and put his head in their lap for a pat! He makes for a alarm guard dog and he will let you know if there’s a visitor at the door, his big deep bark makes him sound much bigger and tougher than he really is.
Buster comes when called, but has never been taught to sit or do the other doggy tricks. He would really blossom with some training as he really just wants to please you (and LOVES treats!).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
